The Expo will be held in Korea from May to August. The event’s theme is ‘”sea”, and is a chance for the international community to share knowledge and understanding about the world’s oceans and coasts.
It has been reported at a ceremony in Tokyo today, Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Yukio Edano named SMAP’s Kusanagi, and TV celebrity/Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology guest associate professor さかなクン (Sakana-kun) as Japan’s supporters.
At the ceremony, both commented there were things they could learn from one another.
“I’m so happy. I hope Kusanagi-san can teach me some Korean,” Sakana-kun said.
“I hope I can learn about fish from you,” Kusanagi said.
“KAT-TUN’s Taguchi-san came shopping today,” started the tweet.
But the news hasn’t sparked any talk on the internet, and it may be because the clothing line acted quickly and apologised before any gossip could start spreading, reports J-CAST News.
Around mid-January a shop attendant in a BEAMS clothing shop in Tokyo tweeted about Taguchi’s shopping trip.
“本日カトゥーンの田口さんがお買い物に来て下さったらしいけど、正直どうでもよすぎるねって亀梨君ならねって先輩と話してて、 でも終わったら20万円代のまとめ買いだったらしく、予算に貢献して下さってた笑 ありがとうございます”
“KAT-TUN’s Taguchi-san came shopping today, but he was talking to one of my seniors about how, ‘honestly, I couldn’t care less’ and, ‘if it were Kamenashi-kun’, but in the end he apparently spent more than 200,000 yen so thank you for contributing to our budget, lol.” (translation)
The tweet has since been deleted, but judging by the tweets about it, it seems like Taguchi went shopping last Tuesday night (January 10).
It has been reported several people had complained about the tweet, saying it revealed private information about Taguchi, and another asking the shop attendant to stop making fun of him.
As well as deleting the tweet, BEAMS has released a statement on their website on January 12, apologising for the incident. It also says the company will carry out a harsh punishment for the employee in question.
It has been reported the shop attendant was simply using Twitter as a way to chat with a friend, and did not realise how visible the tweet would be to everyone on the internet.
This week, Tomohisa Yamashita’s sister Rina posted a photo of herself without any makeup on, attracting a number of comments saying she is the split image of her older brother, reports Sankei News.
On January 15, Rina uploaded a photo of herself on her blog, holding a copy of Twilight’s “New Moon”, which she said she was going to read before going to sleep.
Rina apologises for looking plain, and for wearing glasses, but it is easier to see how her face compares to Yamapi’s.
Several fans commented on the blog saying Rina still looks pretty, and she looks exactly like her brother.
“You’re a beauty with glasses on, a splitting-image of your brother.”
“You look exactly like your brother without makeup on.”
“You look like your brother!! Do people say you two look alike?”
Rina is currently 23. Back in 2005 she had worked in showbiz as a gravure model, but shortly afterwards retired from the business. About two years ago, she gained attention for being the beauty secretary for a politician, but has since left that post as well.
