For the first time in 21 years, one artist has gotten the No.1 and No.2 ranking single sales for the first half of the year, reveals figures released by Oricon today.

Arashi’s singles “Troublemaker” (released in March) and “Monster” (released in May) have sold 680,000 and 654,000 copies respectively since being released.

The Oricon ranking list had looked at sales of singles between December 28 2009 and June 21 2010.

Arashi’s No.1 seller from 2009, “Believe/曇りのち快晴(Kumori nochi Kaisei)”, had sold 657,000 over the year, showing that the group’s popularity has grown even more.
