TOKIO’s Nagase gives press yellow card for asking marriage question

Soccer fan Tomoya Nagase (31) is more than happy with team Japan’s performance at the World Cup but punished the press for their foul play at his press conference yesterday, reports Daily Sports Online and Sponichi Annex.

The singer had been accompanied by Johnny’s Junior’s Toma Ikuta (25) and singer Mika Nakashima (27) to promote their new drama, “うぬぼれ刑事(Unubore Keiji)”.

The drama follows a police investigator, played by Nagase, who proposes marriage to the criminal in each case he takes on.

“I can relate to how my character can’t do a good job at work unless he is in love,” he said.

When asked by the press about whether he would propose to his real girlfriend, actress Saki Aibu (25) any time soon, Nagase had brushed it aside using soccer terminology.

“In terms of the World Cup, that is a yellow card question,” he said.

Nagase had played soccer as a child for nine years, and said he had stayed behind in the filming studio after work to watch last night’s game.

“The players were incredible, and their play tactics were great.  And above all, they looked amazing,” he said.

He also revealed he had become a fan of striker Keisuke Honda (24).

“He seems like such a nice guy.  He’s a big mouth?  That doesn’t bother me.  うぬぼれ(pride) is an amazing form of confidence.  I love people like that.  He’s left his mark, and that’s an achievement in itself.”

“うぬぼれ刑事(Unubore Keiji)” starts on July 9, 10pm, in Japan.  The drama’s theme song will be “NaNaNa(太陽なんていらねぇ)(Taiyo nante irane)” performed by TOKIO.

I’m quite sleepy after watching the Japan vs Paraguay game.  I hate it when games go into PK time, it’s so nerve-ranking and just doesn’t feel as good as watching a team win by goals scored.

But Japan put up a good fight and I love them for that.  Best of luck to Paraguay too, you deserve to be in the best 8 (although I’m still a little jealous).

I woke up this morning to two things: extremely sleepy head and shocking news that Park Yongha (박용하) has died.

WAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!  He was the first Korean singer I became a huge fan of, sniff…will miss you lots.
