Secret ‘thank you’ messages on Hey! Say! JUMP album

19:42 JST July 10, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

Members of Hey! Say! JUMP talk about how it felt to release an album, working on songs, and what they hope to get across to fans in individually recorded ‘thank you’ messages on their first album, which was released on July 7.

At the end of the final song, “Thank You~僕たちから君へ~(Bokutachi kara Kimi he)”, the last four minutes have been put aside to stream messages from each member.

I have done a quick translation of the messages, which are as follows:

What did you think of JUMP No.1?  This is Kota Yabu.

I was given the chance to write the lyrics to the first song on this album, called “DREAMER”.

While I was writing down a lot of things, I kept trying to imagine what would make people optimistic.

All of my thoughts are in this song so please, please, check it out again.

Byebye.  Bye

Hello!  This is Yuri Chinen!

Thank you so much for listening to our album

We did the recording individually, so when we listened to the album it was the first time we had heard all 10 of us sing together.

This album is our first, but it was made from the effort each of us put into it, and I am so happy to listen to the finished product.  I hope you listen to it a lot and memorise all the songs, thank you!

To those who have listened to JUMP NO.1, Yoohoo, this is Yuya Takaki

The part I recommend is all of it.  Especially “Time”, which was the first song I have ever written the lyrics for.

This was really a dream experience (laughs).

But I think the final lyrics are good, so I hope you listen to it.  All of the songs are good.

Thank you.

This is Ryutaro Morimoto, I’m 15 years old.

We’ve finally been able to release an album.

I made sure I put all my feelings into each and every song.  I hope you can hear it in the songs.

See ya!  Byebye!

This is Hikaru!  This time was the first time I had ever written the lyrics for a song, “アイ☆スクリーム(I scream)” and “INFINITY”.

I love both of them so please listen to them!

Byebye baby!

Check it out.

Hey, this is Keito Okamato.

I hope you all listen to this album and become happy.

Thank you so much for listening.  See you

If you’re listening to this, it means you’ve just listened to the entire album.

Hello, this is Daiki Arioka

How did you find Hey! Say! JUMP’s first album?

I was able to arrange a song called “Time”.  Takaki’s lyrics are good too, but it’d make me happy if you could listen to each sound in the song as well.

I hope that listening to this album will put a smile on your face.

This is Yuto Nakajima!

In this album you’ll find a song called “Dash!!” which I wrote the lyrics to, but did you listen to it?

This song is one to get the audience going at concerts so I hope we can all make some noise together at our next live performance.

This was Yuta, see ya!

Hello, this is Kei Inoo

When we got told we’d be releasing an album, I think everyone in the group was happy, but I was the happiest.

Sometimes I’d concentrate too much on each song during recording that I’d get it wrong, but I put all of my effort into it.

When you’re sad, or angry, or happy, I hope you can find a song to go with your feelings.

I love you all!

Hello, this is Ryosuke Yamada.

Did you enjoy our album?  For this album, each member wrote lyrics to a song, and I wrote the lyrics to a love song called “真紅”.

I put everything I had into this song to make it one you can all relate to.  What did you think?

As Hey! Say! JUMP keep growing in many ways, I hope you keep supporting us too.

I biked through the rain (ok, it wasn’t anything dramatic, it was light drizzle) after work to buy this album on July 7 and it was worth it!
