Ai Haruna (38) hopes she can finish her 24Hr TV marathon run by running into TOKIO’s Tomoya Nagase’s (31) arms, it was revealed during her training session, reports The Television.

The Japanese talent was chosen as the charity marathon runner for this year’s “24時間テレビ33「愛は地球を救う」(24Hr TV 33 ‘Love Saves the Earth’)”, which is being hosted by TOKIO.  The show and Haruna’s run begins tomorrow on August 28 – 29.

During one of her practice runs in the hot weather, a journalist asked Haruna who she wanted to hug after finishing her run.

Looking a little hesitant, she said: “Definitely…TOKIO’s Nagase-sama.”

TOKIO member Tatsuya Yamaguchi (38), who had come all the way to cheer on Haruna on this day, was reported to have let out a loud sigh.

“I knew it, it’s always the same choice,” he said.

Haruna was quick to explain to Yamaguchi why she hadn’t chosen him.

“I’d be happy if I got a hug from you Tatsuya-san, but you’re more like a big brother to me…

“I haven’t had the chance to talk to Nagase-sama much so I feel nervous around him.

“I’d be so happy if I could get a hug from Nagase-sama!  A big squeeze so I can bury my head into his chest,” she said.

Despite not being chosen as the hugger, Yamaguchi was still happy to give Haruna some advice for tomorrow.

“She’s a real fighter and keeps saying ‘I’m okay, I’m okay’, so my biggest worry is that she’ll overwork herself.

“If you feel like you’re body needs a rest, you need to be honest and say ‘I need a rest’ otherwise you won’t make it to the goal, ok,” he said.

Good luck to Haruna-san tomorrow!!!

Does the hugging thing remind anyone of last year’s 24Hr TV when Tegoshi (NEWS) gave Ayako Imoto a huge, long hug after she finished her run???

Super jealous, but she totally deserved it!
