SMAP’s first national tour in almost two years will be released as a DVD, “We are SMAP!  2010 CONCERT DVD”, on December 8, it was revealed today, reports Oricon.

The group’s dome tour this year went around five venues and 19 concerts.  The DVD will feature footage from the September 15 Tokyo Dome concert where visitor numbers to SMAP concerts since 1991 had passed 10 million.

The three-disk set will also include backstage footage filmed by SMAP members, while fans who buy the limited edition will go into the draw to win a concert tour staff pass.

    Excuse me, I don’t understand what fan will win in “fans who buy the limited edition will go into the draw to win a concert tour staff pass.”

    What is “a concert tour staff pass” ? It means fan may join the concert as a part of the staff? But the concert tour is already over, right? I’m sorry for this misunderstanding:(

      @Sa Hitori:

      Sorry for the late reply, only got back into Japan a few hours ago (@_@)

      I’ve tried finding any more details about the staff pass but there’s not much :s
      I’ve searched the news, the Johnny’s website, SMAP’s record label website, and several fan blogs (some say it’s a staff pass from their tour this year, some say it might be a staff pass for their next concert tour)
      I might have to wait until the DVD gets released to know what it means, sorrie!!!

      Hope that cleared something up 🙂

      Momo xoxo
