Tatsuya Yamaguchi will return as Japan's Po

TOKIO’s Tatsuya Yamaguchi will reprise his role as the food-loving kung fu panda Po in the Japanese version of “Kung Fu Panda 2”, reports Cinema Today.

The star had made his voice acting debut in the first movie, which had even sent him to the Cannes Film Festival to promote the film.

It has been reported that Hollywood producers had offered Yamaguchi the opportunity to join the Japanese team again, and the star had said he was more than prepared to take it up.

“It’s been three years since the first story.  I can’t wait to see how much Po’s grown up!  I’m going to do my best so please look forward to the movie!,” he said.

Teaser trailers for the movie are currently being shown in cinemas in Japan, with the movie itself set for an August 12 release next year.

“Kung Fu Panda 2” will be made in 3D and will follow Po, Master Shifu, the Furious Five, and new friends as they battle a new enemy who is planning to destroy kung fu forever.
