June 22

Arashi’s latest DVD “ARASHI 10-11 TOUR “Scene”〜君と僕の見ている風景 (Kimi to Boku no Miteiru Fukei)〜 DOME+” sold more than 530,000 copies in its first week of sales since it was released on June 15.  The group’s total DVD sales in their career has now risen to more than 5 million.

 

June 24

Kis-My-Ft2’s debut single “Everybody Go” will be released in eight countries on August 10.  The song will be used as the theme song to TV drama “美男ですね (You’re Beautiful)” and will be released in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Arashi’s Kazunari Ninomiya tells press he and actress/singer Nozomi Sasaki are just good friends and are not dating.

 

June 28

Johnny’s & Associates have indefinitely suspended Hey! Say! JUMP’s Ryutaro Morimoto (16) after photos of him smoking were published in a women’s magazine

 

June 30 – July 2

Arashi’s Masaki Aiba was hospitalized on June 28, pneumothorax was cause.  Aiba had been hospitalized once before in 2002 with pneumothorax, which required surgery.  No surgery was required this time and the 28-year-old is recovering.

 

July 1

Lady Gaga appears on SMAP x SMAP
