Masaki Aiba gets back to work after a week in hospital

Arashi’s Masaki Aiba had gotten out of hospital on Sunday, and has already started work again, it was revealed on July 5, reports Daily Sports Online and Sankei Sports.

The 28-year-old had been in hospital since June 28 with pneumothorax, but convinced doctors he was healthy enough to get out by Sunday evening.  It has been reported Aiba managed to come back in time for Arahi’s “VS Arashi” shoot on July 5, and was welcomed back by a warm applause from fans.

“I’m sorry for causing so much trouble.  I’m feeling better now.  I promise to look after myself from this day forth, and make sure I don’t make any of you worried again so, I hope you continue to support us,” he said.

It has been reported doctors had told Aiba to stay away from vigorous exercise, but otherwise there was no problem with him going back to work.  During yesterday’s shoot, the talent stayed on the benches and supported the other four Arashi members as they played the show’s games.

While Aiba had been in hospital, Arashi did not have any TV guest appearances, which means fans will not see any shows with Arashi as a four-member team.

According to Johnny’s & Associates, the talent had been in hospital for seven days, and did not need any surgery.
