Johnny’s Jr. talent Shunsuke Kazama could not contain himself in front of his fave Ghibli stars at a press conference in Tokyo on July 16, reports Mainichi Shimbun Digital.

The star has a part in the latest Studio Ghibli animation film “コクリコ坂から (Kokuriko-saka kara)“, and during Saturday’s promotion, the cast of the movie were joined by Yuriko Ishida, who voiced San in “もののけ姫 (Princess Mononoke)”, and Rumi Hiiragi, who voiced Sen and Chihiro in “千と千尋の神隠し (Spirited Away)”.

“I’m a huge Ghibli fan, so right now I’m really excited to be with San and Chihiro.  I feel so happy to have been a part of this Ghibli project,” Kazama said.

“コクリコ坂から (Kokuriko-saka kara, From Up on the Poppy Hill” is showing in Japan cinemas now.  The movie is based on the manga series of the same name, which ran in shojo manga magazine なかよし (Nakayoshi) in the 1980s.  The love story follows Umi, a 16-year-old girl living in Yokohama in 1963, and Shun (voiced by V6’s Junichi Okada), the student newspaper editor at her high school.
