I’ve found a few more details about yesterday’s event in Chunichi Sports and Sports Hochi.

To mark their CD debut, fans gathered at Ebisu Garden Place’s centre court in Tokyo to congratulate Johnny’s group Kis-My-Ft2 on their achievement, chanting, “Kis-My Go!”.

It has been reported 350 fans from their fan club were invited to the event, but as word spread around, more than 2500 fans crammed into the event space.  Despite the 34-degrees-celcius heat in Tokyo on Wednesday, even more fans gathered outside the venue, totaling 12,000.

The seven members appeared at the venue at 2pm, waving their hands from red convertible cars, and stepping onto a red carpet in their trademark roller skates.

“Let’s make this a memorable day for everyone and the seven of us,” Taisuke Fujigaya said.

The group performed their debut single, “Everybody Go”, and even pulled off some backflips while in their roller skates.

It has been six months since the group found out they were going to make their professional debut, and Hiromitsu Kitayama had said the entire group went out for dinner to talk things over.

“We said a lot of cheesy things, but we were able to reassure each other with what our goals were,” he said.

“No matter what happens, if we can remember how we felt today, we can become a stronger group,” Fujigaya said.

Later on, the members reflected on their debut day.

“I’m so happy to be able to spend this once-in-a-lifetime day with our fans,” Toshiya Miyata said.

“I want to go on for 10, 20 years without forgetting this feeling right now,” Kento Senga said.

Kitayama also commented on the group’s international goals.

“We want to perform overseas next year.  I’ve never seen a music artist wearing roller skates so I think we can offer something new,” he said.
