KAT-TUN’s Tatsuya Ueda gave fans a look slightly sad, yet real story about his love life in the October edition of Poporo magazine, reports Johnny’s Kenkyukai.
It has been reported when pop stars talk about their love life, most of the time it is either brief or something which happened when they were at primary or junior high school. But in this month’s Poporo, Ueda told a slightly different story, which is also likely to be recent.
“Once there was a girl I really liked, and when we had dinner together it was so much fun and we got along so well we lost track of time. Then we went on dates, and I began to like her even more. But after the fourth date, I began to think that something wasn’t right. I really liked her, but I had this feeling that it wouldn’t work out if we started going out… In the end, I never told her I had feelings for her, and that was that. It was a really unfortunate decision because I did like her.”
While it is difficult to put a date to the word “once”, it is quite clear this is not a story from his childhood if they went out for dinner. The fact they went on four dates could also indicate the lady had feelings for Ueda too. It is also difficult to imagine a young Ueda, or any young person for that matter, being able to give up on a relationship while he still had feelings for her unless he had had enough dating experience to notice the small things he knows are important in a relationship.
Either way, even if the story did not have a happy ending, it did give a glimpse into how much Ueda values his relationships.
Cyzowoman has reported the two had been spotted on dates since 2007, and had been caught going on holiday to Hawaii in 2009.
A July issue of weekly gossip magazine Shukan Josei had reported the couple were pretty much living together in Taguchi’s apartment in Tokyo, and have been seen together taking their dog for a walk.
But ever since the first scandals came out about Komine and Taguchi, Komine had been fading from the public eye. By October last year she had even stopped writing in her blog.
It has been reported things started to change for Komine on July 15 this year when she re-launched her blog, and announced she had opened up her own beauty salon ELEMENTS OF FOUR SEASONS. The salon offers organic makeup products, organic foods, and even gives customers the chance to create their own power stone bracelets.
It has been reported Komine’s next move is to start thinking about settling down.
“Rena Komine hasn’t had any acting jobs lately and she doesn’t seem to have any regrets about it either. Apparently she’s thinking about marrying Taguchi as soon as her beauty salon business gets on track. The only problem is that he’s a Johnny’s talent so it won’t be easy. Taguchi’s only options could be to either leave KAT-TUN or leave the agency altogether. Taguchi doesn’t have too many jobs himself so it’s highly likely,” one source said.
Another source said Komine is already threatening Taguchi’s career.
“A number of times Johnny’s have warned Taguchi to break up with Komine. Not because he’s a pop star, but probably more because Komine is a bad influence. Some information indicates she used to work in something similar to the adult-entertainment business, and she’s been spotted walking down the streets wearing skimpy outfits. The staff who work with Taguchi are worried these things could damage his reputation,” an publicity agency leader said.
Although neither have admitted to being in a relationship, for many Taguchi fans, Komine’s presence is not exactly welcoming. Things might be different if she retires from the public eye completely, but in the mean time, all fans can do is wait and see what happens.
I wasn’t planning on writing this story, but because I’ve read stories about Rena Komine in a few different places, I thought I might as well – Momo.
Kamenashi, Hey! Say! JUMP’s Hikaru Yaotome, Kis-My-Ft2’s Yuta Tamamori, Toshiya Miyata and Kento Senga will spend most of September performing the stage show, which has been performed by Johnny’s talents since 2004. The coming of age story features songs, dance, flying acrobatics, and even boxing.
Afterwards, Kamenashi told reporters at the rehearsal he was happy there were not any problems during the rehearsal.
“It was my first time going through the whole show on stage. I was a little nervous.”
It has been reported Kamenashi was not the only person who was nervous. The production team have been double checking all safety measures for their lead man ever since Japanese kabuki performer Somegoro Ichikawa had broken some bones after falling during his own stage performance.
“You have no idea what could happen so we’re doing our best to keep an eye on things and I need to keep reminding myself that what I’m doing is dangerous. I hope Somegoro-san make it back on stage as soon as possible,” Kamenashi said.
This DREAM BOYS season will feature flying acrobatics for the first time since 2010. The stunt was taken out of last year’s season because frequent aftershocks from the March 11 Japan Earthquake had meant it was not safe enough to carry them out. It has been reported fans will get to see some new flying acrobatic sequences too, and Kamenashi said he can do them because his fans are there watching him.
“To be honest, today was the first time I’ve been able to pull off this stunt. It makes a huge difference when there are people in the seats, they give me confidence,” he said.
It has been reported one reporter at yesterday’s rehearsal noticed Kamenashi had the longest time in the air, and said to the Johnny’s talent that “you’re dropping ‘Kame-jiru (referring to his sweat)’. Are you concerned some of it might fall on your fans?”
“I know. But I take a shower at least four times a day so don’t worry,” Kamenashi said.
Kamenashi also said he was looking forward to how fans would react to his performance with Yaotome, Tamamori, Miyata, and Senga this season.
“The five of us made this stage to bring out the best in us, and I think you’ll be able to see different parts of it throughout the show.”

KAT-TUNの世界一ダメな夜! (KAT-TUN Sekai-ichi dame na yoru!)
Following on the popular success of similar TV show specials broadcast at New Year’s and in April, the show where KAT-TUN learn from the ダメ (dame, no) things in life will now become a regular 30-minute TV show from August 24.
The first episode will be a one hour special.
No flashy website yet, but here’s the temporary one (or at least I hope it’s temporary): http://www.tbs.co.jp/kat-tun_dameyoru/

Kis-My-Ft2 will have a go at their first variety special, which will air one hour specials on August 18 and September 1 on Fuji TV.
So why Busaiku? Because every since the group had made their debut in August last year, anti-fans and fans have been calling the group “busaiku (ugly)”.
But not to worry, the boys have been quick to get over it and are determined as ever to convince everyone that they can be cool. In the show, the members will show off their cool side.
Comments from members on the TV show’s website:
“Seeing the various personalities the members have was something very different to what we’ve done up to now. I think this is the first time Johnny’s have done something so embarrassing. I hope you’ll find a new side to Kis-My, and watch over us. Laugh all you want until it hurts!” (Hiromitsu Kitayama)
“This is a show where you’ll be able to see each Kis-My member’s personality and watch how they think. You’ll even be able to see things the other members never knew about each other too! Happy members, shocked members, a lot of real reactions! I’d be so happy if you watch it!” (Wataru Yokoo)
“First of all, this title has a lot of impact! Who’d have thought of it. The concept is that each of us want to become a better guy from within, and it’s a variety show where you watch us transform ourselves. There are so many embarrassing moments. I was even nervous while we were working on it. I hope you enjoy this new kind of variety show!” (Taisuke Fujigaya)
“When I first heard the title I was just like, ‘what?’. I never thought anyone would put the word ‘busaiku’ after our group name. In fact, my first reaction was to look at myself in the mirror (laughs). To be honest, the shoot was so embarrassing, but I thought to myself that this would be the only chance I would get to act cool, so I put more into my coolness than I would in a concert or music show. I’ve never acted as cool as I did on that day in my entire life (laughs). The show’s title and what actually goes on during the show are very different, and the one hour will be over in an instant. I hope you get to watch it.” (Toshiya Miyata)
“It’s a new kind of show, and all of us are being as serious as we can to get through a certain challenge. I think it’ll make some hearts pound so I hope you get to watch it. I think you’ll be able to enjoy a busaiku Kis-My and a not so busaiku Kis-my (laughs). None of us are laughing, we put everything into it, and I do what I think I should do, so it’s a chance to see a new side of Kis-My.” (Yuta Tamamori)
“This show has given me the chance to see what women notice about men, and what moves or lines women like men to say. I will do everything I can to become someone who women like, and of course someone who men admire.” (Takashi Nikaido)
“I’ve never seen myself do these things, and there were some things I did that were more embarrassing than words can express. I don’t think any other variety show has been able to show the real side of the people in it than this show. That is how real our reactions are, and I’m sure that everyone watching it will cringe just as much as us watching it in the studio. It’s something different and I hope you all watch it!” (Kento Senga)
New talents are getting ready give a show about young dreams, failure, and friendship in this year’s Johnny’s stage show DREAM BOYS, it was announced at the show’s press conference, reports Yomiuri Shimbun on July 18.
It has been reported the show has been running since 2004, and this year Hey! Say! JUMP’s Hikaru Yaotome, and Kis-My-Ft2’s Yuya Tamamori, Toshiya Miyata and Kento Senga will join the cast. In contrast, KAT-TUN’s Kazuya Kamenashi has been involved with the show since it’s first season.
“For the first time I’m the oldest in the group. I’ve known these guys since they were little, I hope everyone will look forward to what we create together,” Kamenashi said.
Last year Kamenashi pulled off difficult stunts like acrobatic jumps five-metres in the air, and complicated wire action sequences.
“I don’t feel I’m putting pressure on myself. I don’t believe in forcing myself to work for something that I think will be cool,” Kamenashi said.
The KAT-TUN star also said this year’s show would be a team effort, with everyone bringing what they each do best to the show, including Yaotome with his stage performance skills, Senga with his dancing, and Miyata with his sense of humour.
“I hope we can mash up all of our talents together,” Kamenashi said.
“It’ll be a colour only the five of us can bring out,” Tamamori said.
DREAM BOYS begins it’s season at the Imperial Garden Theater in Tokyo from September 3. Tickets go on sale on August 4 to the public.
Johnny’s talent Kazuya Kamenashi was in a Hokkaido seaside town from July 3 to 9 filming his upcoming movie “妖怪人間ベム (Yokai Ningen Bem)”, reports Muroran Minpo.
Kamenashi, his co-stars Anne, Fuku Suzuki, and the movie’s production team were in Muroran, Hokkaido, for on-location shooting around the town’s scenic spots. It has been reported the lighthouse on Daikokujima, just off the mainland will serve as the trio’s home in the film.
It has been reported the movie’s producer had chosen this town because of the right number of factories, mist, mountains, and sea. Everything needed for the movie’s setting.
“The night lights at the factories are very pretty. There’s a sense of magic about the place that you could really believe that monsters live here,” Kamenashi said.
“妖怪人間ベム (Yokai Ningen Bem)” is due out in cinemas on December 15.
Kanjani8’s Ryuhei Maruyama and his drama co-stars started punching sand bags in front of the press on June 28 to see which of them was a better boxer, reports Daily Sports Online and Walker plus news.
Maruyama plays a virgin learning to box in his upcoming drama series “Boys On The Run“, which is based on the manga series of the same name. Other cast members include KAT-TUN’s Tatsuya Ueda, Akina Minami, Eriko Sato, and Takanori Jinnai.
“We’re working on a drama during a particularly tough time (with the Olympics starting in July), but I think this story is just as entertaining. I just watched through the first episode and it’s like watching something that has so many things packed into it. Try watching even the first episode please,” Maruyama said.
It has been reported during their promotional press conference in Tokyo on Thursday, a punching machine was brought out to see how good the actors were at boxing. Special guest and former WBC bantamweight boxing champion Yasuei Yakushiji set the first record, throwing 195 punches in 30 seconds. KAT-TUN’s Ueda scored 172 punches, while Maruyama scored 269 punches.
“I’m sorry, while watching you guys I got an idea about what works best,” he said.
Another question thrown at the cast was about which actress they found most attractive.
“I’d choose Shiho-san (played by Sato). She has a kind of older-woman seductiveness, she’s open-minded. She’s the best female character who says the right thing and it sticks in your mind, so I think that makes her a very amazing lady,” Maruyama said.
“The one lady who I can really trust as a trainer is Hana-san (played by Airi Taira), but then the ladies next to me (Minami and Sato) are really pretty too… They’re all too beautiful that I couldn’t choose,” Ueda said.
“What are you, some pure-hearted teen idol!” Maruyama said in response to Ueda’s comment.
“Boys On The Run” begins on July 6.
