A.B.C-Z member injured but more than ready for stage show

11:13 JST September 4, 2012 1 comment

One of Johnny’s Jr. group A.B.C-Z’s members might be injured, but yesterday the group had showed they were staying positive for the start of their new stage show season, reports Sankei Sports.

It is the second year in a row A.B.C-Z take the lead roles in “少年たち (Shonen-tachi)“, which starts its season in Tokyo on September 4.

It has been reported group member Ryoichi Tsukada, who specialises in acrobatics, had tore a ligament in his left leg during rehearsals last month.  Although this means he can’t perform any stunts until his leg recovers, the A.B.C-Z member said he was optimistic about the situation.

“I might not be able to do acrobatics, but I’m more enthusiastic than ever!”

Fellow group member Ryosuke Hashimoto had joked it could be worth coming to see the show while Tsukada is recovering.

“This might be the only time you’ll ever see Tsuka-chan not doing acrobatics.”

It has been reported Kansai Johnny’s Jr. member Akito Kiriyama said their talents were worth seeing as well.
“The Kansai team have come back better than last year, I think we’ll be some fierce competition for the other [Johnny’s Jr. from Tokyo],” he said.

“Yeah, but one of ours is injured…,” A.B.C-Z member Fumito Kawai said.

Tackey tells press he doesn’t have a double to help with his 10 character changes in stage show

Johnny’s talent Hideaki Takizawa talked about his hopes for “滝沢歌舞伎 (Takizawakabuki)” on April 9 in Tokyo as the stage show started its new season, reports News 24.

“滝沢歌舞伎 (Takizawakabuki)” was first performed on stage in 2006, and is now being performed in Tokyo until May for its 2012 season.  April 16’s night show will mark the 300th time Takizawa has performed his show which includes 10 quick character changes as Takizawa plays historical figures like Yoshitsune and Benkei.  It has been reported in the first show of the year Takizawa was changing into the characters faster than he was last year, prompting some of the press to ask the talent if he had a double to help out.

“No I don’t.  It’s all me.  I’m seeing how much my body can do and I’m having fun,” Takizawa said.

The show’s cast features talents from Kansai Johnny’s Jr. for the first time.

“It’s a new ‘Takizawakabuki’.  The Kansai power is so amazing, they’re really hungry for things to do.  It might even turn into a ‘Kansai-kabuki’ show.  I will do my best to make sure they don’t overtake the show though.  I hope that inside of me, I can stay as young as the junior talents,” he said.

On the topic of age, this season will be the first time for Takizawa to perform in in his 30s.

“I’m happy.  No matter how many years have gone by, people still come to see it.  I think it’s thanks to the fans that the show has evolved,” he said.

Johnny’s Jr. talent and B.A.D. member Akito Kiriyama performed a somersault from a platform 2.1 metres high during a concert on December 5, reports Daily Sports Online.

Kiriyama was performing in the Kansai Johnny’s Jr. X’mas Concert in Osaka.  It has been reported in front of a crowd of 1000 fans, Kiriyama climbed up onto the platform between songs, took a deep breath, then jumped and flipped around to land perfectly on his feet again.  The only other Johnny’s talents known to have succeeded in pulling off a somersault from that height are Noriyuki Higashiyama from Shonentai and Koichi Domoto from KinKi Kids.

“My personal best up to now was 1.8 metres,” Kiriyama said, making this a new record by 30 centimetres.

Hey! Say! JUMP and Kansai Johnny’s Jr. perform together in two different cities

Hey! Say! JUMP’s concert in Yokohama was video linked to Kansai Johnny’s Jr.’s concert in Osaka as the two groups performed together on May 5, reports Nikkan Sports, Daily Sports Online, and web The Television.

“I’m getting goosebumps knowing that we’ve got twice as many fans here today!!,” said Hikaru Yaotome.

The video link between the Yokohama Arena and Osaka-jo Hall meant the east and west talents could perform “世界がひとつになるまで (Sekai ga Hitotsu ni naru made)” together and allowed NYC members Ryosuke Yamada (17), Yuri Chinen (17), and Yuma Nakayama (17) to perform their songs together.

It has been reported the latest fibre-optics technology had been used to link the east and west cities together in order to reduce the time lag between video and audio feeds as much as possible.  A representative from Johnny’s & Associates had said this technology is used in TV these days, but it is the first time it has been used for a concert in Japan.

It was also a double surprise for upcoming birthday boy Yamada.  The talent turns 18 on May 9, and to celebrate, the 15,000 fans in Yokohama and 15,000 fans in Osaka all sang Happy Birthday for him.

“I said I would get taller and cooler when I was 18 but I haven’t been able to so…can I delay this until I’m 30?” Yamada said.

While the other members teased him he wouldn’t grow any taller, Yamada said, “don’t you know that men keep growing until they’re 25!!”

During the concert Hey! Say! JUMP’s Kota Yabu reminded people about another upcoming celebration, Mother’s Day.

“We always go in groups to the florist to buy carnations because we’re all embarrassed to go alone…,” he said.

Yesterday’s concert was a surprise for fans, who got see 200 Johnny’s talents and Johnny’s Jr. talents in one concert including Hey! Say! JUMP concert guests Yuta Tamamori (Kis-My-Ft2), and Kansai Johnny’s Jr. concert guests Hiroki Uchi, Taisuke Fujigaya (Kis-My-Ft2), and Hiromitsu Kitayama (Kis-My-Ft2).

Another story that unfolded during the concert was when it was revealed professional baseball player Yuki Saito uses NYC’s “勇気100% (Yuki 100%)” as his entrance song during matches, much to the delight of NYC members.

“I heard about this during school when my mum text me, I was so surprised.  It makes me feel confident,” Yamada said.

“Being in the same generation, I hope we can get everyone’s spirits up as well,” Chinen said.

“As a baseball fan I am so happy,” Nakayama said.

As part of the Marching J project, it has been reported 40 per cent of electricity was saved during the Hey! Say! JUMP concert.

Summary of Johnny’s Christmas Message 2010

Kansai Johnny’s Jr

Nakata: To everyone watching Johnny’s Net

All: Merry Christmas☆

Nakata: Right now, I think you can hear the music but it’s because we’re at a Tackey & Tsubasa concert!  But this year, we had a lot of jobs this didn’t we?

Should we introduce ourselves?

Nakama: First of all, my partner, Akito Kiriyama is in the TV drama “流れ星 (Nagareboshi)” on Fuji TV at 9pm on Mondays!

I said 9pm Monday!?  He’s in (the drama)!!

Takemoto: That’s the one where he goes Ajyarakamokuretekuretto, pa!  Tap tap!! right

Kotaki: The people watching this won’t know what that means!

Nakama: So, he plays a boy who’s into Rakugo (type of Japanese comedy)!  I hope you can watch it.  It’s on national TV!!

Hamada: Yes, and the rest of us have had a lot of work too.  One is on Kansai TV, channel 8’s “ジャニ勉 (Jani-ben)”, there’s a thing called “ジュニ刑事 (jyuni-deka, junior investigator) on “Kanjani8’s jani-ben”.  Here, B.A.D and BOYS do a food report, and that’s on every Wednesday from 12:35am to 1:05am, so I hope as many of you can watch it!

Nakama: As for me, it’s my individual work, but I’m on Yomiuri TV’s “かんさい情報ネット ten! (Kansai Joho Net ten!)”, which is on from Monday through to Friday.  I’m on it twice a week at some time, twice a month

Nakata: At some time

Nakama: At some time.  I’m like a semi-regular on the show so if you could check out Johnny’s Web or Net, it’ll tell you what day I’m on so please check it out!

Nakata: It’s like you check it out and then, “oh, you’re on (today)!”

Nakama: At lunch time, and it’s news, so I think it has a meaningful purpose.  Please, watch it!

Nakata: And on Kansai TV, we’re on a show called “あっぷ&UP! (UP&UP!)” every Wednesday from 2:05pm to 3pm with a different person from B.A.D, BOYS, and Veteran on every episode so if you could also watch that too!

Hamada: Please do watch it!

Nakata: And then there’s still?

Nakama: Then there’s still?

Hamada: Yes, yes there is!

The two of us, along with Veteran’s Tatsuki Muro are on a live show at NHK.  It’s called “あほやねん! 好きやねん! (Ahoyanen! Sukiyanen!)”, and it’s on every Friday from 7:10…

Nakata: You mean 5:10pm!

Hamada: Oops, from 17:10 to 17:57.

Nakata: Remember when your own show is on already!!

Hamada: I know!  I took 10 off from 17!

Nakata: Why did you take it off!!

What, do you always work at 7am

Hamada: Anyway, it’s live, and you can see into the show from outside, so it would be great if you could call in sick at work and…

Nakata: No!!  You’re not allowed to say things like that!!  Those who have school should go to school first and if you have time afterwards then you can come and see it

Hamada: It would be great if you could come.  We have a lot of fun talking and doing a lot of things, there are lots of challenges, and it’s really a lot of fun so please come by some time!

Nakata: And we’ve got radio programs.  Like Kiriyama-kun and I host “関ジャニの男前を目指せ! (Kanjani no Otokomae wo Mezase!)” on ABC radio and a lot of Kansai Jr. make guest appearances too.  So that’s on every Friday from around 11:15pm to around 11:25pm.  It’s a good show to see the real side of the Kansai Jr members, oh, I mean hear them.  It’s full of cutting edge talks so please listen in on the show!

Nakama: We’ve also got a show on Radio Kansai called “関西ジャニーズJr.もぎたて関ジュース (Kansai Johnny’s Jr. Mogitate Kan juice)”, and that’s on every Sunday from 10:30pm to 10:45pm.  It’s only 15 minutes, but it’s us.  I think that show also gives people a chance to hear Kansai Jr. as they really are

Hamada: That’s what we guarantee

Nakama: That’s with B.A.D and BOYS and Veteran?  We take turns in hosting the show so please check that out too!

Nakata: You know, we’ve been given so many jobs, but I think we really need to take it up a notch eh!

Takemoto: I want a regular show!

Nakata: No, Takemoto-kun makes weird noises without warning so I don’t think that would be a good idea

Takemoto: But there’s nothing I can do about my voice, this is my charm point

All: Charm point!?

Takemoto: Because, none of you can make a voice like mine can you

Nakata: Kotaki, did you get a tan?

Kotaki: I did

Nakama: Don’t change the subject!

Kotaki: I have gotten quite dark!

Nakata: Are you going to be alright over the winter?

Kotaki: Um…somehow.  I’ll get through!

Nakata: Shingaki, did you get a haircut??

Shingaki: I did get my hair cut!  It’s gotten shorter

Nakata: It looks good.  So, we’ve been able to do a lot of jobs, and today, it’s kind of like a selection of us are here

Hamada: We are the selected members.  There are members who aren’t here, and we’re sorry they’re not here!

All: We’re sorry!

Nakama: We’re having fun by ourselves, sorry

Nakata: Well, we’re doing our best at work so you guys can do your best at work too!

Hamada: Let’s do our best together!

Nakama: All of us can do our best!

Nakata: So, everyone

All: Merry Christmas☆  Bye byee!!
