Explosions blast up SP event in Tokyo

SP Movie event in Tokyo today (Oricon)

Fires and blasts were set off everywhere as Junichi Okada (29) and the cast of “SP THE MOTION PICTURE 野望篇 (Yabo volume, Ambition volume)” recreated the explosion scene from their movie at an event in Tokyo today, reports Oricon.

A crowd of 600 fans in the Roppongi Hills Arena got a taste of the upcoming film, where the same location was used for the blast scene in the movie.

It has been reported that after Okada had shouted to the audience, “Get down!” the entire stage had light up in flames.

Amidst screams from the crowd, an excited Okada told the crowd about what the movie had meant to him.

“We thought of something we could do for the Japanese movie industry.  I hope you will enjoy this new kind of Japanese action movie.  Making a modern action movie has proven difficult for Japanese film makers but we’ve been able to make this together.

“After the movie opens, it will be passed onto your hands.  I hope you can take care of “SP” together,” he said.

Also at the event, Okada’s co-star Yu Kamio (40) talked about how Okada would transform into a sneaky schoolyard boy on set while they were filming action sequences.

“Okada would take down anyone as soon as he found a weakpoint, we started to call him ジャイアン (Gian, from Doraemon anime),” he said.

“SP THE MOTION PICTURE” is set to be released on October 30.

Actor Masakazu Tamura (67) spoke highly of Toma Ikuta (25) at a press conference in Tokyo today for their upcoming drama, reports Eiga.com.

Both actors are starring in “球形の荒野 (Kyukei no Koya)”, a story set in 1960s Japan.  Tamura plays a diplomat who was supposed to have died in Switzerland during the war, while Ikuta plays a detective.

During the press conference, Tamura has been reported to have said he was impressed with Ikuta.

“He’s very good looking and I’m looking forward to seeing what he does next,” he said.

Ikuta, who could not make it to the event because of other filming commitments, had sent a message about how he found working with Tamura.

“When I first met him, he was so charming my heart started thumping really loudly.”

Other cast members at today’s event included Yosuke Eguchi (42), Ikuta’s character’s detective partner, and Manami Higa (24), Tamura’s character’s daughter.

“球形の荒野 (Kyukei no Koya)” will go on air in Japan on November 26 and 27.

My ups and downs (=^x^=)

00:37 JST October 26, 2010 6 comments

It’s already Tuesday!

Where did Monday go…

I’ve had some ups and downs over the past few days but it’s all going positive again so yay ( ̄▽ ̄)

Up up moment: Seeing Johnny’s boys on Sunday (>v<)/  There were five, six boys walking on the train station platform, and I think one of them was Ryutaro Morimoto from Hey! Say! JUMP…that or Morimoto has a secret twin walking around Tokyo.

There was a fan girl talking to him and she got to shake hands with him, lucky girl v(^-^v)  And this is why I’m sort of confident it was him.  Looked about the same age too.

——————————————————————-

Down down down down down moment:  Missing Massu on Veterinarian Dolittle episode 2.

NO!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I was out at a dinner with friends and didn’t get home till 10:05pm.

15 minutes after the show finished, arrrrrrrrrgh!!! No no no no no no no no no no no!!!

——————————————————————-

Up moment: Finding lots of old youtube videos of Massu, Tackey & Tsubasa, and KinKi Kids this morning

——————————————————————-

Up moment: Buying TV Fan just so I could see more photos of Massu from on-location shoots for Veterinarian Dolittle.  Yes, I’ll pay 330 yen for seventeen 1cm x 1cm photos of Massu.

——————————————————————-

Up moment: Cooking green curry and watching the final of Ryusei no Kizuna!  Woooooow…

Curry nom nom nom.  On TV, Ryo’s eating curry nom nom nom.

…falling in love (too quick!)

——————————————————————-

Up moment: Hearing Tegoshi and Koyama on K-chan news 30 minutes ago.

Tegoshi has a new pet poodle!  He’s 4-and-a-half months old and weighs 800g!

His name is Skull!

…Skull?  Skull.

And Tegoshi’s already bought Skull his own bag with skull designs on it.

………..how much do you like skulls Tegoshi!!!

——————————————————————-

Up moment: Hearing Koyama and Tegoshi’s manager Shino (short for Shinozuka I think…) say the music video for Fighting Man is very NEWS-like.

——————————————————————-

Up moment: Learning that Tegoshi might be just as geeky as me.

He said he had bought a new case for his mobile in Akihabara.

He also carries around his Nintendo DS and plays Pokemon.

Koyama: What do you do in Pokemon?

Tego: [thorough explanation] I’ve been playing it for 43 hours now.

Koyama: 43 HOURS?

Yes! I’ve only played it for 12 hours so far.  Phew…

Right, time to get to sleep and if I have time I can start translating some stuff from TV Fan magazine XD

Good night!  Have a good night!

Momo xoxo
