TOKIO’s Yamaguchi visiting earthquake disaster zone today
TOKIO’s Tatsuya Yamaguchi stressed the importance of family and friends at the premiere of “Kung fu Panda 2” in Tokyo on August 2, reports Sankei Sports and Cinema Today.
Ahead of the movie’s August 19th release, a special family premiere took place in Shinjuku, central Tokyo on Tuesday. Yamaguchi provides the Japanese voice for lead character Po. He appeared at yesterday’s event in a silver suit and took the opportunity to talk about the movie’s theme of friendship.
“The movie looks into something that Japan really needs right now, friendship.
“After I finish my morning TV show jobs tomorrow (August 3), I’m going to meet people in Fukushima, and then go onto Sendai,” he said.
It has been reported those attending yesterday’s event were called on to write messages of support to families in the disaster zone, which Yamaguchi will deliver to them today.
