A day after writing about the Kis-My-Ft2 debut news, I’ve found some quotes from the members and their agency’s president Johnny Kitagawa:

• “This is the beginning.  Please come with us!” said Taisuke Fujigaya (23).
• “I had a flashback to the time I had joined the agency.  Finally…,” Fujigaya said.
• “So people really do hug one another when they’re really happy,” Kento Senga (19) said.
• “My hands started shaking.  We’d been working for so long, sometimes it felt like we were about to break, but the seven of us managed to get here by taking it one step at a time.  I want to keep that feeling close to me.  Now we can use CDs to get our songs out there,” Hiromitsu Kitayama (25) said.
• “They’re highly skilled in every genre and have had a long career.  I’m looking forward to see what happens to them because they do have potential.  I hope they can use their experience to grow stronger,” Johnny’s & Associates president Johnny Kitagawa said.

Daily Sports and Sankei Sports have reported the envelope Kitayama had opened in the middle of the group’s concert contained a slip of white paper with a handwritten message in red: “CD debut this summer.”

Although the members who had been surrounding Kitayama froze for a moment, they soon exploded in celebration.  Kitayama started running around, Yuta Tamamori (20) started hugging his group members, while Toshiya Miyata (22) shed a tear.

The 13,000 fans in the crowd also erupted in cheers and tears.

Jin Akanishi to collaborate with Jason Derulo

Jin Akanishi’s US debut news just got bigger as the man himself announced today in Tokyo he would work with Jason Derulo and J.R. Rotem for his debut single, reports Oricon and News Catch.

Speaking at press conference before his Tokyo concert on February 13, the singer said he felt like he was taking a step forward into the world being able to collaborate with the US chart-topping Derulo and A-list music producer Rotem.

“My first single to be released in the USA has been decided.  We’re still in the planning stages of the single, but it looks like it’ll be a pop song,” he said.

Akanishi also revealed he was in regular contact with Rotem to discuss his upcoming album, which is likely to be released by autumn this year.

The singer also said he was looking forward to collaborating with Derulo, and was amazed by American singer’s talent.

“I didn’t know he was only 21, that was a surprise to me,” he said.

Jin Akanishi is in the middle of his tour, “JIN AKANISHI Yello Gold Tour 3011”, which will be released on DVD on May 4.
